TD Bank Invests $20 Million Into the Future of Underserved Small Business Owners

In a major step toward economic justice, TD Bank has launched a $20 million grant program designed to uplift and empower underserved small business owners facing systemic barriers. This initiative isn’t just about money — it’s about recognizing the inequities baked into our financial systems and doing something to dismantle them.

For far too long, Black entrepreneurs and other marginalized business owners have struggled to access funding, mentorship, and opportunities due to discriminatory lending practices, generational wealth gaps, and institutional bias. This grant is a step toward leveling the playing field.

TD Bank’s program will prioritize:

✅ Small businesses in historically excluded communities

✅ Entrepreneurs of color and immigrant founders

✅ Business owners with limited access to capital or financial services

It’s about time.

Access to capital has always been one of the biggest hurdles for Black-owned businesses. But when given support, our communities build powerful legacies. This grant program is a direct investment in that potential — a push toward closing the racial wealth gap and fueling innovation, job creation, and generational wealth.

If you’re a small business owner navigating systemic barriers — this funding is for you.
